Oct 28, 2009 · UAC fails. if your wise enough to install AV, which then will flag only malicious .EXE's, viruses, other nasty's, then your wise enough to be protected. This way, safe programs like the one your trying to run wont be flagged unnecessarily. IMO UAC off. Quality AV on.

Re: Optiplex 790 Win7 UAC request to install ATI driver so what you are saying is, dont use the driver packs that Dell supply for SCCM and use the driver from the chip manufacturer.. nice. 0 Kudos Anyone who has been concerned with switching users in Windows 7 without signing out or who has finished creating and managing user accounts in Windows 7, is wondering where is the fastest way to call the UAC in Windows 7 to adjust it! This process has worked very well in the XP days. But in Win7 a lot of the installs stop because of UAC being on. (if I turn UAC off on a test system the installs work just fine.) What I’m finding is most all “MSI” files install fine, “setup.exe” from the bigger software houses work ok as well, but the little guys, no luck.
